So, one of the most stressful things for a practice that’s over a hundred patient visits week is managing your team and in this short video, I’m going to give you a lesson from Superman and Iron Man on team management, and I know it’s going to help.

What are the things that doctors tell me all the time is that they resent having to be a manager and a leader and a team member I was trained to be a chiropractor, wasn’t trained to put my business together haven’t been trained and training and all those other things that are necessary in order to have a great practice.

So, what can Superman and what can Ironman teach us about managing our team? Well Superman has superpowers. He comes from Krypton and he’s got super strength and he’s got x-ray vision and he can fly, and he can, I mean, he’s got those superpowers sometimes doctors think they have to have in order to be able to be a good team leader.

Well, you don’t see Iron Man is just an ordinary guy in an extraordinary suit, and so I’m going to tell you this is what I found for myself and for many hundreds of people that I’ve coached is that you can be an ordinary person in a set of management templates and do what feels like paint by the numbers and end up looking like a genius so that your team is running smoothly and in this next segment, I’ll give you an example of one of those.

So, one of the templates that I use in order to be a good leader and a good manager is an office meeting agenda. I teach every single person on my team how we use the agenda. I assign responsibility to the agenda and I basically sit in the team as they do their office meeting and I watched the template the Iron Man suit instead of the superpower take over and make the office meeting super super easy.

I have a template for correction, I end up seeing somebody coming late after lunch or somebody not doing the job position and I’ve got a template that starts with. Hey, I noticed this what’s up with that and it goes forward in a procedure so that I can find out where. Problem is and deliver a correction and put the responsibility in the employees lap so that they can make the change.

I’ve got another template for doing employee evaluations. So, there’s a specific template that we fill out. So, all the things that you need to do in order to manage your practice are available in template. So, you don’t have to be Superman. You can be Iron Man and ordinary person in extraordinary suit.
Set up templates and then you learn how to use the templates and you teach your team how to be responsible to the templates and it’s actually fun and super, super low stress. Now, I’m going to be teaching a bunch of these templates in what we call High Volume, Low Stress, get it?

I’ve I will stress how do we get the low stress by applying templates and I’ll be doing that in Chicago on the 2nd
