Getting UNSTUCK in 2016!
HI, this is Dr. Noel Lloyd for Five Star Management and in this short video I’m going to share with you my 3 secrets for getting unstuck.
Nobody likes to be stuck; we’ve all been there. We can stay stuck for days, weeks, months, some people have stayed stuck for years. There are 3 surefire ways to get unstuck and in the very next segment I’ll go through all 3 with you.
What are my 3 secrets for getting unstuck? Number one, get off your butt and get to a live training where there are other chiropractors headed the same direction that you want to head.
What’ll happen is you’ll is that you’ll get some new information, you’ll get some new relationships, you’ll learn about what other people are doing. It’ll sound exciting, it’ll be motivating, challenging, and maybe even a little competitive juices start to flow at that point in time. Maybe you’ll grab one, or two, or three, maybe entirely different, projects and you’ll get motion on those projects. So, get to a live training.
Don’t sequester yourself. Don’t isolate yourself, but find the right group. Guys and girls who have the right head, the right heart, the right gut for chiropractic and want to move in the right direction, that’ll get you unstuck.
Number two, get a coach. I was talking to a client yesterday and he had a choice between two or three different things that he had been mulling around in his head. I knew his temperament, his nature, and what he was really good at and there was one obvious choice, as far as I was concerned.
Isn’t it the way that to you the choice is a little bit murky, but you explain it to somebody who knows you and knows your situation, they’ve got an obvious choice. I said do that and then call me, today later, and that worked out in him getting unstuck. He was really, really grateful for that.
Number three, I like to use this 3-point axiom; the first, best and easiest thing to do. If I want to get some motion, I want to do know what the first thing to do and it’s typically the best thing to do, and so frequently it’s the easiest thing to do.
You’ve got this difficult project that’s looming over you. There are so many different moving pieces, there’s stuff that you have to learn, people that you have to recruit, it’s hard. I’m stuck behind this project. You know, pick the easy stuff first and then get some momentum going, and as soon you get some momentum going you can come back and attack this one a little bit later.
