3-Step Mindset Shift We Teach to Marketers
Hey everybody, is Dr. George Birnbach and I’m so excited about this one. We’ve been teaching a three-step formula to our marketing assistants, to our community outreach marketing teams and boy oh boy it’s working really well. So I wanna share it with you I wanna share all three of them, right? Not just one, not just two, but all three. I’m gonna share with you this three-step formula because it’ll help you across platform. It works when we’re talking to the clinic directors it works when we’re talking to the associate doctors it works when we’re talking to the marketing people and even anyone on the team.
If you can take this mindset, this three-step formula put it in your mindset you’re gonna be better off for it. Here’s the first one, learn to use technology and your smartphone better to decrease what you don’t know. So if you’re in a clinic, look up the technique that you use in that clinic, learn a little bit more about it, it makes you a stronger conversationalist. If you wanna learn about the headaches or the back pain or the shoulder pain that your clinic is helping people get better with take a look at those treatments in your office, but also online. And if you’re a marketer or you’re in a clinic where you need to get a conversion and you run into an objection that you don’t understand, go right to YouTube and look up how to handle an objection like that. Because even if it isn’t the perfect answer it’s a new perspective and it gets you out of your own head.
It keeps you from introverting and spiraling up. That’s a good way to use technology to always improve your knowledge base and your perspective widen that perspective. So things feel less threatening because the more lateral or horizontal knowledge you have, the easier it is for you to find a connection point and bond with someone. So that’s step one Step two, is we got to stop taking ourselves so seriously. It okay if we fumble a little bit, it’s okay if we don’t do it perfect. Because even if that person smiles at us and chooses not to sign up for whatever, we’re asking them to do. Once they leave our presence there thinking about the rest of their life. So we don’t have to sit and go, oh, they must be judging me now.
It doesn’t really happen that way. The moment they leave the massage event or they leave your office, they’re back onto grocery shopping, paying bills, worrying about the kids, did the dog get fed last night? You see what I mean? So let’s not take ourselves too seriously think people are always analyzing us and judging us, just go into this with a great intention in your heart, love in your heart, caring in your soul, trying to help them be in a better position or have a better life. And it’s gonna go great for you. All right, that’s step to step two. Step three, well step three is you must become indifferent to failure. And that’s a hard thing for some of us to recognize, right or wrap our head around but we have to become indifferent to failing because it is true that more trying leads to more failing but more trying also gives us a better chance of success.
So as long as your intention is right I’m trying to help this person. I’m trying to help you have a better position here. Then keep trying it’s a good place to be. So I’m teaching these to the marketers they’re doing great with it. I’m teaching this to clinic owners, I’m even teaching this to some associate doctors and this three step formula it’s really helping out, right? So number one, decrease your knowledge gap as best you can learn to use YouTube, learn to broaden your perspective on the environment that you’re in, right? Step two, don’t take yourself so seriously, laugh. Laughing is always the better way, right than anger and introversion. Just, I can’t believe I just did that. You see work on it, but laugh about it. You’re not, all important and no one’s judging you when they’re not around you, right. And then step three, keep trying become indifferent to failure, because if you know you’re doing this for the right reasons it’s gonna work out for you.
